There is no zip on this bodysuit, no hook, no waistband and no band of elastic sewn in anywhere. It is one tube of dusty-rose diamond net held in position by its own tension, shoulder down to a gusset not much wider than two fingers. The thong is the part that stops the body of the garment travelling upward.

01A finger wide at the hip
The leg opening climbs almost vertically, and where it passes the hip bone the side of the garment narrows to roughly a finger. That strip carries the whole sideways load.
02The cut crosses the waist
The leg line meets the body above the hip bone rather than on it. That is why the net below the navel is pulled on a diagonal and the cells there sit as long shapes instead of square ones.
