and open at the eyes.

Front on, the shape reads as a muzzle rather than a mask. The crown strap splits the forehead, the band crosses the temples, and the panel starts at the cheekbone. Nothing is covering the eyes, which is the main practical difference between this and a bondage hood — it can be worn in a room where people need to see each other.
