Begin with what the supplier's own paperwork concedes. The bikini shown in the photographs does not ship: a white triangle top and bottoms that tie at the side, both of them styling, both of them yours to supply. The aqua net dress is the purchase. Their title claims long sleeve; their spec sheet gives the sleeve length as 0.00, which makes it sleeveless. Sold as a cover-up, and honestly see-through.

Cut and fit next. A high round halter neck, a low scoop back left open, a hem landing high on the thigh, all of it in fine open honeycomb net with four-way stretch, so the fabric skims instead of gripping. Flat measurements: bust 15 in (38 cm), pulling to 39.4 in (100 cm); length 27.6 in (70 cm), pulling to 47.2 in (120 cm). Nylon with elastane, one size.

Those stretched numbers mark where the knit gives out, not where it ought to sit: at full stretch the net goes thin and loses its spring. Practically, a bust, waist or hip anywhere up to about 47 in wears it comfortably, and on most heights it finishes as a mini. Wash by hand, cold, with a mild detergent; dry flat; no dryer and no iron, since heat kills elastane; and keep it clear of rings and rough jewellery.

right through the fabric

Knitted, not woven — which is why the open honeycomb stretches four ways and recovers — with cells running roughly a quarter-inch across. The photograph is near enough to count them.

Across the bust the net reads solid; over the hip, where it has to stretch further, it opens up. That is simply what a one-size knit does, and it is why you are looking at it on a body and not laid flat.

These are flat measurements, so a body circumference is twice what you read. Pulled to full extension the net goes thin and sheer and will not recover, which makes the right-hand numbers a limit of the fabric, not a sizing guide. Comfortable in practice on a bust, waist or hip of roughly 120 cm / 47 in; on most heights the hem sits as a mini.

It is sleeveless, box notwithstanding

It has no sleeves. The manufacturer’s title says "long sleeve" anyway, while their specification sheet records a sleeve length of 0.00 and not one photograph shows a sleeve. We would rather flag that before you order than after the bag is opened.
